Lecture Topic:
Exploration of the Extraordinary Vessels, an invitation to understanding one's self as well as others.
Lecture Details:
The Extraordinary Vessels are the foundational system of channels according to Chinese medical theory. The formation of this channel system begins in the dividing ovum and as the embryo and subsequent fetus develop, their energetics and pathways are continually laid down assuring the development of an individual. All other channel systems are birthed by the Extraordinary Vessels, which continue to support the body through an individual's life; its structure and function. They will also play a continual role in supporting the other channels systems of the body, such as the Sinew and Primary channels.
The Qing Qi Ba Mai not only provide the blueprint for an individual's structure, physical strengths and weaknesses; they also support the mental and emotional capabilities to deal with the challenges that time presents as one ages. Understanding the breadth of support the Vessels provide for an individual's continued development in life gives the practitioner options to see a patient's struggle with challenges, external or internal, and offer other treatment strategies that can be integral to provide healing and stabilization. They are also an invitation to explore one's own development, response to challenges in life, and allow the practitioner the ability to reflect and grow on their own path in this life.
VBMA Endorses Quality Herbal Products
VBMA recognizes that the herbal product industry has faced quality control and regulatory challenges, and we recommend supporting those companies attempting to self regulate in a meaningful way. Companies that manufacture herbal products marketed for humans should be members of the American Herbal Products Association, an industry organization which explores issues, interacts with regulators, and establishes policy. Veterinary product companies should be members of the National Animal Supplement Council, an organization which develops policies and procedures on adverse event reporting and quality control.
