  • Veterinary Professional Membership: This option is for any veterinary professional with an interest in herbal medicine, and includes veterinarians and vet techs. The cost for VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL Membership is $85 per year. 
  • Multiple Veterinary Professional Membership is available to family or hospital groups (so that each e-mail address can have access to the listserv, get a web password, etc.).  To qualify, the snail mail address of each group member  must be the same.  $85/year for first member, $50/year for each additional member.
  • New Graduate Veterinary Professional Membership:  This option is for any veterinary professional with an interest in herbal medicine and has recently obtained their veterinary professional certification. The cost for NEW GRADUATE VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL Membership is $68.00. You'll need to include a copy of your certification when signing up.
  • Non-Veterinary Professional Membership: This option is for non-veterinarian herbalists who have extensive experience with veterinary herbal medicine, provided they are professional members of the AHG or NIHM, or have equivalent experience with an interest in herbal medicine. The cost for NON-VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL Membership is $85 per year.
  • Veterinary Professional Student Memberships are available.  FREE!

​VBMA ENDORSES QUALITY HERBAL PRODUCTS
​VBMA recognizes that the herbal product industry has faced quality control and regulatory challenges, and we recommend supporting those companies attempting to self regulate in a meaningful way. Companies that manufacture herbal products marketed for humans should be members of the American Herbal Products Association, an industry organization which explores issues, interacts with regulators, and establishes policy.  Veterinary product companies should be members of the National Animal Supplement Council, an organization which develops policies and procedures on adverse event reporting and quality control.
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PET OWNERS
The VBMA does not endorse any products sold on the internet for self prescribing to animals. We believe in the interests of safety that any herb should always be prescribed by a qualified practitioner. There are companies using our name with the suggestion that we endorse their recommendations or products.
